Apple’s M4 Mac mini is already $100 off ahead of Black Friday

We’re now just three weeks out from the main Black Friday 2025 shopping event, which, this year, happens to land on November 28. As ever, plenty of retailers and commerce storefronts are trying to get ahead of the curve with promotions and discounts leading up to the event itself, and Amazon is certainly no exception.

For a limited time only, Apple’s base M4 Mac mini computer is listed on Amazon in the US for a starting price of $500 — that’s a full $100 off its usual MSRP, or roughly seventeen percent off. This particular model ships with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, but the step-up 16GB + 512GB and 24GB + 512GB configurations are also on sale for $110 off each.

If you’re looking to save some cash on a desktop computer with a little extra horsepower under the hood, the $1,400 M4 Pro-equipped Mac mini with 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is listed at a temporary promotional price of $1,270, which equates to nine percent off.

Apple first released its M4 Mac mini in the fall of 2024, making this latest-generation model about a year old at the time of writing. The M4 Mac mini supersedes 2023’s M2 Mac mini, which itself was a milestone release that featured a from-the-ground-up redesign with in-house Apple Silicon in mind.

Compared to older Intel-powered Mac mini models of the past, these newer M series models feature a far more compact design, a superior performance-per-watt ratio by virtue of adopting the ARM instruction set, support for Apple Intelligence AI features within macOS, and a streamlined selection of I/O ports that prioritizes quality over quantity.

With Apple’s upgraded M5 chipset now out in the wild, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a refreshed Mac mini be released sometime in the next handful of months. Of course, such a product would be a small spec-bump update over its predecessor, and I wouldn’t expect to see any major redesign of the mini form factor anytime in the short-to-medium-term future.
